PLATTSBURGH - Allen F. LaFountain, 66, of Cedarwood Lane, passed away June 26, 2023, with his family by his side.

He was born on June 4, 1957, the son of Norman LaFountain and Bernadette (Decoste) Trudeau. Allen graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School and later went to work at Meadowbrook Nursing Home as a Dietician for almost 40 years where he is remembered fondly for the joy and dedication he brought to others.

He was an avid Nascar enthusiast, testing the odds with a lottery ticket, and could be caught singing and dancing at any opportunity. Above all else, Allen loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Survivors include his children, Kyle LaFountain (Sarah Morrison) of Mooers Forks, Travis LaFountain (Guinevere Spurdens) of Miami, FL, and Hailey LaFountain (Joshua Morales) of Plattsburgh; his mother, Bernadette Trudeau of Plattsburgh; sisters, Gail (Tom) Marnes of Morrisonville and Paula (Ronnie) Begor of Morrisonville; granddaughter, Layah Almodovar; lifelong friend, Bonnie LaFountain; and nieces and nephews, Brenden Begor, Milo (Michelle) Marnes, and Miranda Marnes.

Allen was predeceased by his father Norman LaFountain and stepfather, Rodney Trudeau.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville.
