MORRISONVILLE – Barbara A. Rabideau, 77, of Rabideau Street, passed away, May 8, 2026 at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Tupper Lake on November 3, 1948, daughter of Herman and Rita (Boardman) Bishop.

Barbara married Kenneth J. Rabideau, Sr. on June 5, 1965 in Tupper Lake. Together they played in the band, Country Neighbors, along with her two brothers until the mid 80’s. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family, and especially spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara’s family asks that she be remembered not for the way her life ended, but for the love, kindness, strength and joy she brought to everyone around her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving and dedicated husband, Kenneth J. Rabideau, Sr.; her sons, Kenneth (Kris) Rabideau, Jr., Todd (Cheryl) Rabideau, and Chad (Brenda) Rabideau; brother, David Bishop; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kilts, Lauren Balcom, Shelby Spies, Stephanie Rabideau, Kennedi Bohunicky, Gabrielle Carlson, and Cooper Rabideau; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Donny, Caroline, Sandra, and Cindy.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
