Obituary

ELLENBURG DEPOT--- Barrie N. Stevenson, 58, of Alder Bend Road, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Ormstown, Quebec on June 1, 1960 the son of Norman and Betty (Gibbs) Stevenson.
Barrie married the former Lisa Therrian on September 7, 1984 at the Nazarene Church in Altona.  He enjoyed spending time at the river with his family and dogs Bo and Buster. Barrie loved to go snowmobiling and sharing stories and memories with his family and friends, especially visiting with his mother-in-law daily for coffee and conversation.
He loved animals and rescued many from shelters throughout the years.
Barrie was a kind, sweet and gentle person who always tried to help wherever he was needed.  He was loved and forever be missed by all those who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife Lisa Stevenson; his beloved "fur babies" Bo and Buster; his mother, Betty Stevenson of Ormstown, Quebec;  three brothers, Timothy Stevenson and companion Tammy Barrington, Mark Stevenson and companion Deidre, and Randall Stevenson all of Ormstown, Quebec;  and many nieces and nephews.
Barrie was predeceased by his father;  and grandparents, Melvin and Bessie (Tidus) Gibbs, and Roy and Winnie (Downs) Stevenson.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
