ELLENBURG CENTER – Bernice M. Patnode, 80, formerly of the Star Road, passed away, January 13, 2025.

She was born on October 19, 1944, daughter of Walter and Laura King.

Bernice married Walter "Bucky" Patnode on October 12, 1963 in St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.  Bucky passed away on September 13, 2012.  She worked for many years at Hipotronics in Brewster, NY until her retirement.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and listening to country music.  Bernice was also an avid NY Yankees fan and especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Walter "Joe" Patnode and his wife Susan and William "Bo" Patnode and his wife Sallie;  daughter-in-law, Renee Patnode Pelliceiotti;  brother, Paul King and wife Helen;  sister, Phyllis Trick;  sister-in-law, Sandra King;  grandchildren, Jasmine Kain, Zachary Patnode, Joshua Patnode, Laura Sterling, Destiny Patnode, Joseph Patnode, Steven Paraszti, and Russell McRoberts;  eight great-grandchildren;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernice was predeceased by her son, Patrick Patnode on May 18, 2015;  brothers, Patrick King, Bill King, Dave King and Walt King;  sister, Verna Seney;  brothers-in-law, Art Trick and Robert Seney;  and sisters-in-law, Evelyn King and Viola King.

Per Bernice's wishes, there will be no public services.
