ELLENBURG DEPOT, NY ---Betty P. Miner, 76, of the Plank Rd., died Saturday February 25, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Ogdensburg, NY on March 26, 1935 the daughter of Raymond and Cecile (Briere) Pike.
Betty married Roland Venne on August 28, 1951, he died December 14, 1999. On March 21, 2004 she married James Miner, he died January 20, 2011.
Betty was a school bus driver for Northern Adirondack Central School for 23 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora, and a member of the Senior Club in Saranac.
Betty enjoyed knitting, playing cards and listening to the senior fiddlers in Saranac.
Survivors include, her children, Alice Mattoon of Dannemora, Henry and Jane Venne of Chazy Lake; step-children, Phalen and Debbie Miner of Chazy Lake, Mark and Julie Miner of Beekmantown, Starr and Tim Morris of Morrisonville, and Eddie Spinner of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Henry and Monica Venne, Arthur and Sandi Venne, Penny and Jim LaPoint, Willy and Nikki Venne, Kyle and Briget Mattoon, John and Linda Mattoon, Aaron and Nicki Mattoon, Jessica and Todd Hatfield; step-grandchildren, Danielle Peryea, Renee and Christopher Markwica, Janice and Patrick Minckler, Stacey and Kenneth Alterie, Heath Miner, Kelly and Ronnie Clark, T. J. Morris, Dustin Morris; great-grandchildren, Kavian MeCaire, Tristan, Jack, and Emma Mattoon, Rachael, Adam, Cheri, Josh, Ivan, and Corban Venne, Tyler, Roland, and Jimmy LaPoint; step-great-grandchildren, Madison Peryea and Brianna Peryea; her siblings, William Pike, Thomas Pike, Mary Jane Tersigni, and Catherine Arsenault; several nieces and nephews
Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 26, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery in the spring.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice of the North Country.
