ELLENBURG CENTER – Blanche L. Yelle, 99, of Brandy Brook Road, passed away, November 8, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Quebec, Canada on June 6, 1920, the daughter of Oscar and Alda (Lefebvre) Martin.

Blanche married Clifton Yelle on July 2, 1938 in St. Patrick's Church in Chateaugay. Together, they owned and operated a dairy farm in Ellenburg Center, and Blanche also worked at the TruStitch Moccasin Corporation in Malone for 18 years, all while raising their loving family.

She enjoyed gardening and the beauty of her flowers, but most all was a dedicated and caring mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Garry Yelle and his companion Kay Lowell of Wilmington, NC, Lee and Joan Yelle of Ellenburg Center, NY, Sharon and David Brewer of West Chazy, NY and Ronna and Russell Trombley of Chateaugay, NY;  13 grandchildren;  21 great-grandchildren;  and many nieces and nephews.

Blanche is predeceased by her loving husband, Clifton;  son, Gerald Yelle;  granddaughter, Kristi Yelle;  sisters, Losia (Wayne) Potter and Columbe (Earl) Humiston;  brothers, William (Frances) Martin, Rene (Mildred) Martin, Andre Martin, Gerard Martin, and infant brother Gregoire Martin.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
