ELLENBURG DEPOT – Brian D. Cole, 54, of the Clinton Mills Road, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2023.

He was born in Plattsburgh on June 15, 1968, son of Dennis and Patricia (Ragan) Cole.

Brian was a jack of all trades and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Whether working on his property or just taking time to enjoy the birds, Brian loved spending time outdoors regardless of the season.  He was an avid hunter and trapper, and he enjoyed teaching others his many skills.

Brian could also be seen riding around the county on his horse Denver.  The two of them were inseparable.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Pat Cole;  his sisters, Tammy Cole and her companion Homer Manor and Karen Cole and her companion, Justin Sears;  his aunt, Denise Irwin and her companion Bryan Frary;  nieces and nephews, Brandon Manor, Jacob Spear, and Paige Spear;  great-nephew, James Miller;  and many cousins, including, Joshua Irwin, Jesse Irwin, and Kayla Clifford.  Brian will be missed by many.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
