Carmel Lynn Dumas, 69, of Ellenburg Center went to be with the Lord October 5, 2026 at CVPH Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Carmel was born on July 13, 1957 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Lawrence Perry and Joanne Bogenschutz Strausser.

Throughout her life Carmel spent many of her years in Florida, where she met her husband Terry Dumas whom she married October 23, 1992. Together Terry and Carmel raised two wonderful children who love her dearly.

Carmel loved her Country Gold Saturday nights, cooking for the family, but her most favorite thing of all was spending time with her grandchildren.

Carmel is survived by her husband of 33 years Terry Dumas, her two children Shannon Perault (Larry Duprey) and Terry Dumas Jr. (Elizabeth Sorjanen). Carmel is also survived by her four grandchildren, Aubrey Perault, Cordelia Perault, Braylee Dumas and Lucas Perault.

Also left to cherish Carmel’s memory are her siblings, Sister Christine Harrell (Danny), Brother John Perry (Irene) and Jody Foster (Sue). Her Brother in law Joe (Mary) Dumas, her sister in laws Penny Prentice and Susan (Ken) Marshall, and her mother in law Betty King.

Carmel also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 18th from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Veterans Hall in Ellenburg. We ask if everyone could bring a dish to share, it would be greatly appreciated.
