Obituary

ELLENBURG CENTER, NY---Carol R. Goss, 77, of Star Road, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at her residence.
She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on March 29, 1938, the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Hines) Cashman.
Carol married Ralph "Buddy" Goss on September 3, 1959. She worked side by side with Buddy to run their business "Ralph's Garage" in Ellenburg Center. Carol also very much enjoyed taking pictures as a correspondent for the Press Republican, which she did for many years. She always enjoyed being outside, gardening, feeding and watching birds, and always making sure her lawn was well kept. On a beautiful day she could always be found tinkering with something. Most of all Carol loved being surrounded by her family, and would go out of her way for any of them.
Survivors include her children, Randy Goss and his wife Sonya of Ellenburg Center and Debbie Shaw and her husband Scott, of Ellenburg Center; one brother, Robert Cashman and his wife Lorraine of Plattsburgh; one sister, Melba Cashman of Ellenburg Center; two grandchildren, Heather Shaw and her companion Caleb Hampton and Wyatt Shaw; and four nieces and six nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her husband; parents; brother, Vernon Cashman; brother and sister-in-law, Elden and Florence Cashman; and nephew Wayne Cashman and his wife Anne Marie.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home, 5614 Route 11, Ellenburg. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ellenburg Center. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
