Catherine E. Rabideau's Obituary
MOOERS FORKS, NY---Catherine E. Rabideau, 85, formerly of Town Hall Road, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility.
She was born in Mooers, NY on May 27, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Delia (Arquette) Garrand.
Catherine married Leonard Rabideau on August 18, 1949 in Mooers Forks, NY. Leonard passed away in 1983.
Catherine worked as a Nurses Aide at the Harlem Valley State Hospital in Wingdale, NY for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks and was also a member of the Ladies of St. Ann's.
Survivors include one son, Richard Rabideau and his wife Pamela Strang-Rabideau, of Dover Plains, NY; two daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Cayea and her husband Terry of Ellenburg Center, and Cammie Kumetz and her husband Ron of Alburg, VT; one brother, Roger Garrand; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Garrand and Theresa Garrand; five grandchildren, Ann Witt and her husband Thomas, Joel Cayea, Laura Rabideau and her companion Nicholas Rosato, Mark Rabideau, and Allison Ebersol; six great-grandchildren, Kane, Grace, Zeb, Taylor, Tyson, and Ava; one great-great-granddaughter, Alice; and several nieces and nephews.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband, and one son, Stephen Rabideau.
Calling hours will be private for the family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to The Ladies of St. Ann's.
