WEST CHAZY - Christopher E. Yelle, 63, of Fiske Road, passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2026.
Chris was born in Plattsburgh on August 9, 1962. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Luck Brothers in Plattsburgh, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Chris loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Above all else, he was a devoted family man. Nothing brought him greater joy than traveling with his loved ones and especially watching his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lisa Yelle; his children, Brandon (Mary) Yelle and Brittney (Adam) LaCount; his father, Joe (Carol) Yelle; his In Laws, Roger (Donna) Nephew; his brothers, Kenny (Debbie) Yelle, Clifford (Crystal) Yelle, Greg (Brenda) Yelle; his sisters, Deb (Jim) Langlois and Amy (Paul) Hart; his brother in law, Tony (Lisa) Nephew; his cherished grandchildren, Branson Yelle, Mason LaCount, Lexi Yelle, Kinsley LaCount, and Maverick Yelle; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.
Chris cherished youth hockey, always eager to watch and to help—not just his own grandson, but every child who took the ice, so donations in Chris's memory may be made to Plattsburgh Youth Hockey, 90 Sharron Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY. Please indicate 12u RoadRunners on donation.
