CHAZY LAKE – Dale M. Boulrice, 68, of the LaPoint Road, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2023.
He was born in Plattsburgh on January 18, 1955, son of George and Theresa (Manor) Boulrice.
Dale attended Altona Central School, and then later graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School. Before starting a career as a technician he served for three years in the Army, spending time in Germany. Dale met his wife, the former Joanne Demarais, in 1982 and they married on August 8, 1986 in St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. They made a home together and raised their family in Chazy Lake. Dale retired in January of 2020 from Saranac Power, in Plattsburg.
Dale loved being outdoors in the woods, especially roasting red glaziers over a campfire. He enjoyed spending time on his hobbies including woodworking and repairing and restoring old tractors. His family was the center of his world. Whether he was enjoying a fun game of cards, teaching a tractor class or working on a painting project, nothing brought Dale greater joy than sharing these special times with his wife, children and grandchildren. Dale's love for his family can be seen in all of their homes in the things he built, fixed and created over the years.
Those left behind to cherish is memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Joanne Boulrice; sons, Jared Patnode and his wife Sonya and Justin Patnode and his wife Danielle; daughter, Jessica Barcomb and her husband Chris; brother, Bruce Boulrice and his wife Judy; sisters, Joan Roberts and her husband Richard and Sandra Wood; grandchildren, Ellery Barcomb, Wesley Barcomb, Ansley Barcomb, Brandon Decker, and Taylor Decker; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Garvin Demarais, Danny and Rita Demarais, Arlene and Bill Loughan, Sally and Alvin Canning, and Annette and Joe Manor; and many nieces and nephews, including his cherished Goddaughter, Ashley Canning.
Dale was predeceased by his parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Samuel and Rita (DeCoste) Demarais.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 9 th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Lyon Mountain.
