ELLENBURG CENTER – Darcy Lynn Moore, 55, of Steam Mill Road, passed away August 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Darcy was born on November 21, 1968, daughter of Ross and Ada (Jock) Williamson.
She attended Northern Adirondack Central School and CV-TEC and later received her cosmetology license. She worked at Ultrawave in Plattsburgh for several years as a hairdresser as well as working as a nail tech at Meadowbrook Nursing Home. Darcy especially enjoyed working with the elderly and always meeting new people.
She was a member of the American Cancer Society and was very involved with the Relay for Life. She courageously fought and beat cancer twice.
Most of all, Darcy loved the time spent with her family and friends. She was a pillar of strength and no matter how bad it ever got, Darcy would always have a smile as big as the sun. Her kindness, generosity, selfless nature, and especially her addicting smile, will never be forgotten.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Moore of Ellenburg Center; daughters, Kelby Moore (Nate Mclean) of Gorham, ME and Krrynn Moore (Joe Fields) of Lisbon, NY; siblings, Ross "Butch" (Monica) Williamson of Rutledge, TN, Kelly Williamson (Kathy Wagoner) of Albany, NY, Debbie (Gary) Labarge of Ellenburg Center, Bonnie (Daniel) LeClair of Churubusco, and Vickie (Joe) Dupuis of Stillwater, NY; grandchildren, Stella and Allan Mclean as well as Gunner and Trapper Riley; mother-in-law, Doreen Moore; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Kim) Moore and Kyle Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
Darcy was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Larry Williamson.
A Celebration of Darcy's life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31st from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Lyon Mountain American Legion.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Ellenburg Center Fire Department.
