ELLENBURG DEPOT ---Donald R. Manor, 72, of Route 11, passed away, May 3, 2023.
He was born in Plattsburgh on March 21, 1951, son of Fred and Frances (LaValley) Manor.
Donald married the former Jane Rowe on November 28, 1970 in Mooers Forks, NY. He enjoyed farming and going camping and hunting. Donald especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. His quick wit and animated stories will be missed by all who knew him.
Donald was also a proud member of the Ellenburg Depot Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Jane Manor; his son, Stacy Manor; daughter-in-law, Heather (Robby) Duprey; mother-in-law, Jeannette Rowe; grandchildren, Taylor Manor, Jake Manor, and Evan Manor; siblings, Richard (Leona) Manor, Manya Dupree (Donald), Hilda DeCoste, Susan (Melvin) Spoor, Karen (Alan) Genereux, Brenda Rabideau (Chris), Michael (Janet) Manor, and Shelley (Ronnie) LaBombard; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cynthia Rowe, Alma (Peter) Trippi, Sue Brooks, Lori Rowe, Betty (Edward, Jr.) Bushey, Gary (Julie) Rowe, Paul Rowe, Debra (Alan) Cardin, Barbara (Dennis) Phillips, Karen (Terry) Delaney, Linda (Alton) Parker, Randy (Heidi) Rowe, Sandy (Francis) Duquette, Keith (Julie) Rowe, and Donna (Brian) Kavanaugh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was predeceased by his son, Darcy R. Manor;
parents, Fred Manor and Frances LaFontaine;
father-in-law, Donald W. Rowe;
brothers, Glenn Rowe, Jr. and David Manor;
sisters, Shirley Taylor, Margaret Spoor, and Kathyleen LaCount;
brothers-in-law, Philip Taylor, Ronald Spoor, William LaCount, Buddy Dupree, Maurice Decoste, and Donald D. Rowe; and nephew Brad Manor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5 th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 6 th at 11:00 a.m. at the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Ellenburg Depot Fire Department.
