ELLENBURG – Eunice M. (Nichols) Silver, 89, of Star Road, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 17, 1933, daughter of Samuel and Georgianna (Boyea) Nichols.
Eunice married Lloyd T. Silver on November 21, 1953 in Saint Philomena's Church in Churubusco. Lloyd predeceased her on November 28, 2016.
Eunice was a member of the St. Edmund's Altar and Rosary Society, Court Little Rose Catholic Daughters, the Log Cabin Quilt Guild, and the Churubusco Home Bureau.
Eunice enjoyed spending time crafting, gardening, and was a wonderful quilter. Her beautiful quilts are enjoyed by her loving family and numerous others throughout the community.
Above all else was her dedication to her family. She was a caring, kind, and compassionate mother of nine, and loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Eunice is survived by her eight children, Linda (Silver) and Robert Cook, Michael Silver and companion Doreen LaHaie, Sandra (Silver) and Clarence Manor, Stephen Silver, Barbara (Silver) and Dale Winter, Patrick and Tina Silver, Lisa (Silver) and Tom Frenyea, Lloyd and Kim Silver; grandchildren, Casey (Cook) Collins, Mathew Cook, Andrew Cook, Travis Myatt, David Myatt, Lindsay Manor, Mary (Manor) Yelle, Michelle Silver, Jonathan Myers, Chad LaBombard, Troy LaBombard, Richard Silver, Wyatt Frenyea, Georgianna Frenyea; great-grandchildren, Calleigh, Olivia and Adalynn Collins, Grace and Zoee Cook, Malori Devins and Hudson Cook with another baby boy Cook due in December, Caydence Bell, Madyson Myatt, Mea Myatt, Branson, Lexi, and Maverick Yelle, Carson and Emalynn Myers, Beau LaBombard and Melanie LaBombard; brother, Lawrence and Norma Nichols; sister-in-law, Bernadette Nichols; her beloved pet Tessa Mae; and many nieces and nephews.
Eunice was predeceased by her husband; son, Richard Silver; sister and brother-in-law, Doris (Nichols) and Norm Degon; brothers and sister-in-laws, Clarence and Gert Nichols and Francis and Peggy Nichols; and brother, Gerald Nichols.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 10th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
