ROUSES POINT – Gary W. Begor, 65, of Elm Street, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2021.
He was born in Plattsburgh on March 11, 1956, son of William J. and Theresa M. (Tourville) Begor.
Gary worked as a supervisor at Harris Graphics and then later at Kimpex in Champlain. In 2002 he started his business, Begor's Seamless Gutters, which he later sold in 2017. Gary had a caring heart and would help anyone. The generosity of his talents was felt by all. Nothing brought Gary more joy than sharing stories and making memories with his family, friends, and his dog, Lucy. Gary cherished his time spent at Port Kent Camp Site and his winters in Naples, Florida. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, traveling, car racing, and a good cup of coffee.
He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who were fortunate to have known him.
Survivors include his wife, Molly (Finlayson) Begor whom he married on April 19, 2002 in Naples, FL; his daughters, Kristie (Matt) Chase and Kryn (Nate) Burnside; stepson, Jason Tourville (Christy Coupal); stepdaughters, Jennifer (Todd) Lafountain and Meaghan (Josh) Rabideau; brothers, Larry (Norma) Begor and Ronald (Paula) Begor; sister, Marilyn Begor (John Rock); grandchildren, Hughes Chase, Miles Chase, Colten Burnside, Liam Tourville, Eli Tourville, Arleigh Lafountain, Maggie Lafountain, Greyson Lafountain, Brienne Rabideau, and Hadley Rabideau; nieces, Amy (Pete) Racine and Tricia (Chris) Begor; nephews, Jamy (Beth) Begor and Brenden Begor; and his dedicated canine companion, Lucy.
Gary was predeceased by his parents; brother, Howard Begor; and niece, Annie Begor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. Attendees are asked to please wear a face covering.
A celebration of his life will be held at a future date next summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to the Rouses Point Fire Department or to the Elmore SPCA.
