Harry P. Malark's Obituary
PLATTSBURGH, NY---Harry P. Malark, 80, formerly of Louisiana Avenue, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Ellenburg on May 5, 1935 the son of Patrick and Clayda (Smith) Malark.
Harry married the former Florence Carter in 1954 at St. Edmunds Church. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, former President of the Fire Department in Fort Covington and former President of the Snowmobile Club in Malone. Harry loved being outdoors and enjoyed golfing, four wheeling, boating, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Malark of Plattsburgh; two sons, Harry and Marie Malark of Lancaster, PA and Warren and Michelle Malark of Chazy; five grandchildren, Darin Malark and his wife, Amy, Jessica Malark, Mary Malark, Nicole Davis and her husband Rodney and Patrick Malark and his companion Lindsay Stoddard; three great-grandchildren, Kamron Davis, Cody Malark and Marissa Malark; one sister, Shirley Lafountain of Bombay, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Todd Malark in 1990; and a great-grandchild, Austin Malark.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. Entombment will follow at the Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Ellenburg.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
