MALONE--- Hilda Elizabeth Duffina, 89, formerly of Winthrop and Ellenburg, passed away, May 16, 2019.

She was born in Ellenburg on April 5, 1930, the daughter of Peter D. and Mary (Doody) LaClair.

Hilda married Lewis Duffina on June 16, 1949 at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.  He predeceased her.

Hilda worked as a floral designer at Trombley's Florist Shop in Malone for many years.  She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved to cook and make memories with her family.  Hilda also loved all types of flowers and was a faithful communicant to many local churches.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Plante and her husband Lucien of Winthrop;  seven grandchildren;  21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hilda was predeceased by her husband;  one son, Jerry L. Duffina;  six brothers, Austin LaClair, Eldon LaClair, Eugene LaClair, Norman LaClair, Bernard "Bill" LaClair, Ivering LaClair, and Howard LaClair;  and four sisters, Rhana Magoon, Eleanor Gaffney, Muriel LeClair, and Della Trombley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 22 ^nd at 10:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to have a Mass said in her memory.
