ALTONA – James "Jim" Bushey, 73, of Alder Bend Road, passed away February 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 30, 1950, son of Victor and Ethel (Lafave) Bushey.

In his younger years, Jim was a Golden Glove Boxer, and later, he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR, and watching baseball games, especially between the Red Sox and Yankees.

Most of all, Jim, loved to be around his family and friends.  He was known to be riding around town and to "drop in" at any time for a friendly visit.  He also loved to be involved with all his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Debra Bushey;  sons, Craig Bushey and his fiancée Melissa, and Corey Bushey and his wife Trista;  siblings, Mike (Jeannie) Bushey, Mark (Ann) Bushey, Neil (Betty) Bushey and Robin (Penny) Bushey;  grandchildren, Logan Bushey, Corey Bushey, Cameron (Allyson) Bushey, Calli Bushey, Colton Bushey, Korelle Bolster, Trystan Bolster, and Alexus Bolster;  and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his parents;  one brother, Steve Bushey;  and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mildred and Donald Lashway.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Jim's Life on Saturday, February 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the QWL building on the Irona Road in Altona.
