ELLENBURG CENTER- Joanna Pelkey, 43, of Star Road, passed away August 16, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Plattsburgh on July 16, 1976, to Alan and Arlene (Finlayson) Thibeau.  JoJo graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School in 1994 and later attended Clinton Community College.  She married Eugene (PJ) Pelkey, Jr on September 6, 2002, at St. Edmund's church in Ellenburg.

JoJo enjoyed photography, scrapbooking and was an avid reader, but above all else, she loved spending time with her family.  JoJo was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who had the ability to remain full of grace and kindness no matter her circumstances.  Her sense of humor sustained her and everyone around her.  JoJo's warm and gentle smile was contagious and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband PJ of Ellenburg; her children Darbi Rabideau of Plattsburgh and Andrew Pelkey of Ellenburg; her parents Alan and Arlene Thibeau of Ellenburg; her sisters Melissa (Davy) McDonald of Ellenburg and Shelby Thibeau of Derry, NH; her in-laws Eugene and Mary Pelkey, Sr of West Chazy, her sisters-in-law Jessica (Mark) Lamberton of Mooers and April (Paul) Campbell of West Chazy, five nieces and seven nephews, and her loyal companion, Teddy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks.
