ELLENBURG---
Josephine G. Lawrence, 92, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Windy Acres.
She was born in Coatesville, PA and was married to Charles Lawrence, also of Coatesville.
She graduated nursing school in 1946 and worked as an RN for more than 30 years. She and her husband moved to the North Country in 1978 where she also worked briefly in the prison system as a nurse.
She is survived by three sons, Charles and wife Lin of Fort Myers, FL, David and wife Daryl of Ellenburg Center, and Richard Lawrence and significant other, Debra of PA; and one daughter-in-law, Tracy Anne Lawrence.
Josephine is also survived by five grandchildren, David Lawrence, Jr. and significant other Jamie Coupal, Joshua and wife Amy Lawrence, Angela and husband Jeff Watts, Chas Lawrence who is currently serving in the U.S. Marines and Daniel Lawrence who is also currently serving in the U.S. Air Force. Josephine is also survived by one great-grandson, Elliot, son of David, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3
rd
from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of the North Country, 358 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, will be appreciated.
