ELLENBURG CENTER – Judy K. Dunn, 73, of Route 11, passed away on January 26, 2026 where she was born and raised.  She peacefully passed at her home just like her parents.

She was born on September 25, 1952, daughter of Elmer and Frances (Cook) Dunn.

Judy was a lifelong resident and proud to call Ellenburg home.

She was a talented and gifted leather craftsman and quilter.  Judy also enjoyed when friends and family would stop by for a cup of tea and then she would read their tea leaves.  Most recently, Judy worked as a grant researcher for the Northern Adirondack School District.

Survivors include her sister Mae Gregory Dunn;  and nieces and nephews, Shane Dunn, Michael Backus, Rodney Backus, and Alan Backus.

Judy was predeceased by her parents;  brother, Gary Dunn;  sister, Jean Anne Dunn Backus; niece, Shannon Dunn;  and brother-in-law, John Gregory.

The family wishes to thank the professionalism of the responders to Judy's home.  Special thanks to the NYS police including the off duty state trooper to arrived, the coroner and the funeral home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home.  Burial will take place in the spring in Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
