ELLENBURG CENTER, NY---Kurt S. Barcomb, 58, formerly of Ellenburg Center, NY, died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena, NY.
He was born in Malone, NY on September 28, 1955, the son of Stanley and Iris (Smith) Barcomb.
Kurt worked on the Barcomb Family Farm for many years and also worked as a stock clerk at Delagar in Champlain. He was a former member of the Ellenburg Center Fire Department.
Kurt loved doing word search puzzles, he always enjoyed a good joke, and he especially loved the time he spent with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two brothers, Larry Barcomb of Ellenburg Center and Danny Barcomb and his wife Doreen of Ellenburg Center; two sisters, Ardyce Bresett and her husband Cy of Granville, NY and Alison Dupuis of Ellenburg Center; and several nieces and nephews.
Kurt was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home, 5614 Route 11, Ellenburg.
Burial will take place in the spring in Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Ellenburg Center Fire Department.
