Lillian Rabideau, 89, of Catalan Forge Road, passed away July 18, 2018 in Knoxville, TN.
She was born in Peasleeville, NY on September 2, 1928, the daughter of George and Albina (LaMarche) Furnia.
Lillian married Richard Rabideau on February 3, 1951 at St. Matthew's Church in Black Brook. She worked for many years caring for the parishes of St. Bernard's in Lyon Mountain and St. Michael's Church in Standish.
Lillian enjoyed playing poker and going to the casino. She was a loving and strong woman who's greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include four sons, Richard Rabideau, Jr., Jerry Rabideau, Terry and Patti Rabideau all of Standish, NY and Ricky and Kathy Rabideau of Burlington, VT; two daughters, Dianne Olson of Standish and Lorri Beer of Troy, NY; brother, Richard "Mike" and Bertie Furnia of AuSable Forks; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Furnia and Harriet Furnia both of AuSable Forks; four grandchildren, Kristen and Josh Parker, Jacob Beer and his fiancé, Collen Kelleher, Ashleigh Beer and Josh Rabideau; three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kali and Lia Parker; step-grandchildren, Brian, John, Sarah, Amanda, Lindsay, and Charlie, and their children, especially Haley and Kailee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Rabideau, parents, brothers, Edmund, Clarence, Donald, Adrian and Norman Furnia, sister, Edna Whyman and several sisters and brothers-in-law.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
