ELLENBURG DEPOT – Linda L. Johnson, 76, of Forest Road, went home to the Lord on July 28, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 6, 1949 the daughter of Clarence and Marie (Valley) Lafreniere.
Linda attended Northern Adirondack Central School.
In 1966 She married her first husband Norman L Jarvis and had two children Tina and Norman, in 1969 Norman passed from Leukemia.
In 1972, she married David Johnson and happily married for 52 years and together had two children David Michael that passed at 5 days old and Penny Lynn, they raised their beautiful family together.
For many years she worked for the CVPH Auxiliary and retired as the Coffee Shop Manager
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed cooking for her family and others. She liked playing cards, picking berries, camping, and loved to dance.
Linda had a strong faith and was a member of St. Edmund's Church, Court Little Rose Altar and Rosary, and a member of the Catholic Daughters where she once served as the Grand Regent.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David Johnson; daughters, Tina Riley and Penny Johnson; and son Bradley Hammond.
She also leaves behind a sister, Kim Lafreniere Annis; brother Randy LaFreniere two grandchildren, Kyle B. Lapan and Katelyn (Lapan) Wiscovitch and her husband Dan; and great-grandchildren, Connor and Makayla Lapan and Samuel Wiscovitch;
Linda was predeceased by her parents; Clarence and Marie (Valley) LaFreniere, her first husband, Norman Jarvis; two sons, David Michael Johnson and Norman N. Jarvis; and sons-in-law, Gregory Riley and James (Steve) Lapan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.
