ELLENBURG CENTER--- Lynn Prevo Lafountain, 45, of Route 11, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on May 11, 1967 the daughter of Kenneth and Linda (Poupore) Prevo.
Lynn married Tom Lafountain in Las Vegas, NV on October 10, 1997.
She was manager of the family businesses, K & L Convenience Store and Ken Prevo Sales and Service Polaris Dealership in Ellenburg.
Lynn had a great love for the outdoors. Whether she was camping, four wheeling, or snowmobiling, she enjoyed being with her family and friends. Lynn also loved animals of all kinds and spending time at the casino, especially in Las Vegas. Her beautiful smile could light up a room and her quick wit and joyful laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband Tom Lafountain of Ellenburg; her parents, Ken and Linda Prevo of Ellenburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Lloyd Silver of Ellenburg; mother-in-law, Beverly Lafountain of Altona; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dina and Steve Sample of Mooers Forks, Dean Lafountain and his companion Sara Gonyo of Chazy, and Tracy and Steve Posada of Peru; several aunts and uncles in the Prevo, Poupore, Lafountain and Barcomb families; seven nieces and nephews; and several cousins. Lynn also leaves behind her canine companions, Kelly and Lily, and many close loving friends. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Roland Lafountain.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home, 5614 Route 11, Ellenburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to an animal shelter of choice.
