ELLENBURG – Marjorie J. (Nana) Rowe, 94, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on October 19, 2021. She was born in Clinton Mills on June 14, 1927, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Moore) Cole.
Marjorie was a strong, independent and loving woman. She was a caregiver to her husband and family; as well as providing daycare for many children throughout her life. Her greatest joy was sharing a meal and holidays surrounded by her family and friends; she always wanted you to sit down, eat and visit. She received wonderful care at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility over the past 4 years; the many staff members became her family and took care of her in a very loving way. She was known as Nana to her family and her Meadowbrook family; she will be deeply missed by so many.
She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Rowe who passed away on March 29, 2006. They were married on September 10, 1948. They enjoyed a very happy and loving life together during which time they had three children that she is survived by; Darlene and Russell Bilow, Colin and Michele Rowe, and Darla and Allan Bilow. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Leslie LaBarge, Kim and Tim Coplen, Kiley Harvey, Kelly and Kellan Livsey, Jaxson Rowe, Cory and Erin Bilow, and Courtney and Nicholas Trombley. She is also survived by step- grandchildren: John and Emily Lester, Daniel and Katie Lester, Bryan Lester and Kelly O'Brien and Dessarrae McCue. Nana is survived by great grandchildren: Bryce and Bailey LaBarge, Koby, Kendl and Kade Coplen, Blair and Waylon Harvey, Calum and Hudson Bilow, Liam and Brielle Trombley, and yet to arrive Baby Boy Bilow and Baby Boy Livsey. Step- great grandchildren: Madelyn and Kaitlin Lester, Harrison and Bennett Lester. She had special friends in Connie Ryan, Melissa and Paul (Madeline, Raymond and Eileen) Maney, Elizabeth and Ryan Beals and Sarah Ryan. Marjorie is also survived by a sister-in-law, Jeanette Rowe and many nieces and nephews. Her family and friends meant the world to her.
Marjorie was the last surviving child of 16 brothers and sisters; Bertha (Todd) Baker, Rufus Cole, Agnes (Robert) Bertrand, Clinton (Gertrude) Cole, John (Katie) Cole, Arthur (Crystal) Cole, Mary Cole, Katherine (Vernon) Rowe, Harold (Inez) Cole, Alice (Ernest) St. Thomas, Morton (Florence) Cole, Eleanor Cole, George Cole, Louise Cole, Naomi (James) Keough, and Thelma (John) Grenier.
The family would like to thank the staff at Meadowbrook Healthcare for their love and compassionate care that they gave to our mother. She loved them like family.
Family and friends will gather at the Rabideau Funeral Home on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be at the Sheldon Hill Cemetery in Ellenburg Depot.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ellenburg Depot Fire Department.
