ELLENBURG CENTER – Mark "Mechanic" Rabideau, 49, of Star Road, passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2021.

He was born in Plattsburgh on July 11, 1971, son of Rufus and Rita (Roberts) Rabideau.

Mark was a talented mechanic who worked for the Fort Edward Express Trucking Company in Plattsburgh.

He loved the outdoors and everything it had to offer.  Whether going four wheeling  or snow sledding, Mechanic loved  sharing special memories with his family and friends.  He also loved camping, truck pulling events, and especially sharing stories around the big bonfire he enjoyed making .

Mechanic was a "gentle giant" who would always be there to help others and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him .

Survivors include his longtime companion Tammy Trombley and her children, Tatiana , Shannon and Sean Trombley;  his father, Rufus Rabideau;  brother, Brian (Mary) Rabideau;  sisters, Peggy (Jeff) McNeil and Bev (Eddie) Nichols;  many nieces and nephews, including, Ashley McNeil, Amanda (Chad) Trombley, and Joshua (Liz) McNeil;  and numerous close friends.

Mark was predeceased by his mother, Rita Rabideau on November 2, 2000.

Services will be private at this time.  The family will be planning a gathering in the summer of 2021 to celebrate Mechanic and what would have been his 50 th Birthday.
