Obituary

Marshall E. Lafave, 68, of Ellenburg Center, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 18, 1957 the son of Lionel and Ida (Cook) Lafave.

Marshall enjoyed NASCAR Sundays with friends and family, often loving the time spent cooking big meals that brought people together. Riding his Harley, along with traveling to Florida, made him feel truly free. An avid coffee drinker and chocolate lover, he was a hardworking, dedicated mechanic who was always willing to help anyone in need.

He especially cherished time with grandkids, creating lasting memories by building and working on different projects with them. Known as a jokester, he loved making people laugh while bringing light into every room he entered.

Survivors include his daughters, Karen LeClair and Jennifer Lashway; grandchildren, Kaylee McKinney, Shawn McKinney, Tyler LeClair, and Brandon LeClair; brothers, James (Cathy) Lafave, Rusty (Linda) Lafave, and Wesley Lafave (Theresa Hayes); sisters, Eve (Pat) McGill, Grace (Dale) Griffin, Lucy (Leo) Wood, and Rose (Bruce) Andrews; sister-in-law, Sylvia Lafave.

Marshall was predeceased by his parents, Lionel and Ida Lafave and his brothers, George Lafave and Patrick Lafave.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. A reception will be held at the Churubusco Fire Department following services.

The hope lodge is an amazing place for caregivers and cancer patients getting treatment or staying in the hospital to stay at for free. They would make meals every night and do lots of activities to cheer people up they made it feel like home. All the staff are very kind, please make donations In honor of Marshall LaFave.
