Obituary

LYON MOUNTAIN - Paul G. Pepin, 73, of Peets Road, passed away on December 14, 2020.

He was born in Acushnet, MA on June 7, 1947 the son of Romeo and Alice (Hubert) Pepin.

Paul married Lucille Lambert on April 17, 1971 at St. Joseph's Church in New Bedford, MA.

He served in the United States Army from 1968-1969, serving in Vietnam with a great love for his country.

He had a great love for farming and caring for his cows. He attended Bristol County Agricultural High School where he studied Animal Husbandry which led him to operate an artificial breeding business. Paul later moved to Ellenburg, where he owned and operated the Pepin Family Farm.

Paul had a great sense of humor, he was always very witty and his chuckle was infectious.  He served on the Republican Party in the Town of Ellenburg for many years. Paul also taught religion classes CCD for a great many years both in Ellenburg and when he lived in Franklin, VT. He had a great joy in teaching the youth about God and their religion.

Paul had a great love and appreciation for music. Some of his favorites were Richard Harris and Johnny Cash, and he also played the harmonica in his younger days. He also enjoyed watching the old westerns on TV and his all time favorite was "Gunsmoke and the Lone Ranger".

Paul was a good honest man, whose family and faith always came first. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He lived by the phrase, "God, Family, Country."

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lucille Pepin; children, Jacques E. Pepin, Francis G. Pepin, Geraud P. "Jerry" Pepin, Anne Marie T. (Gene Chauvin) Pepin and Jean-Luc (Sara Nash) Pepin; brothers, Ernest (Mary) Pepin and Roland (Sharon) Pepin; sisters, Madeleine Moniz and Donna Beaulieu; grandchildren, Elijah and Oliver Chauvin and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home, Ellenburg.  A funeral service will follow at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel.

In  lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
