ELLENBURG CENTER- Rolland C. Magoon, 81, of Bradley Pond Road., passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at CVPH Medical Center with family by his side.

Rolland was born on March 20, 1944 in Ellenburg Center and was the son of Claude and Rhada (LaClair) Magoon.

He was married to Dale Ann Smith on August 7, 1965. They were happily married and it would have been 60 years.

Rolland owned and operated Magoon Farm for many years. He was a communicant of the St. Edmunds Church. Rolland enjoyed spending time on the farm and with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom he loved so much.

He is survived by his wife Dale Ann, 3 children, Rolland K. Magoon of Constable, NY, Denise and James Sample of Ellenburg Center, NY, and Ranee Magoon- Pombrio of Ellenburg Center, NY; his grandchildren, Tabatha Giddings, Kaleb Sample (Mackenzie), Kolby Sample (Colin), Rusty Pombrio, Brent Pombrio, Destiny, Dustin, Denver, and Darren and 4 great-grandchildren, Karson, Blayne, Morgan and Gracelyn, his brothers Stephen (Sandy) Magoon and Miles (Diane) Magoon and a sister Rosemary Trombley, his aunts, Janet Koelsch and Lois Johnson and many other sister and brother in laws and niece and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Lona on June 7, 1974, a brother, James, a sister, Linda, a brother-in-law, Jeffery, and a great-granddaughter.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 1:00pm in St. Edmunds Church in Ellenburg. There will be a gathering at the Ellenburg Center Fire Station following the Mass.
