ELLENBURG CENTER – Sandy LaBombard, 76, of Trombley Road, passed away, September 6, 2023.

She was born on May 9, 1947, the daughter of Arleigh and Joan Finlayson.

Sandy had a love of nature and her animals.  She cared for numerous animals over the years, especially her German Shepard Dugan, and also enjoyed the time in her flower gardens.  Sandy enjoyed farming all of her life and the outdoors was her passion and comfort.

She owned and operated the Shamrock Inn in Ellenburg Center for many years until its closing.  Many will remember her by her spunky personality and her love to visit with all those who stopped in.

Sandy will be deeply missed by all those family and friends who were blessed to have been a part of her life.

Sandy is survived by her siblings, Kevin (Cathy) Finlayson, Shannon Gibson, Susan (Leon) Rabideau, Molly Begor, Arlene (Alan) Thibeau, Sheila Lashway, and Staci (Randy) McDonald; David LaBombard;  brother-in-law, Mark Brassard;  sisters-in-law, Nathalie Finlayson and Geneva Finlayson;  along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandy was predeceased by her daughter Hillary LaBombard;  siblings, Dolan Finlayson, Jack Finlayson, Heather Brassard, Bryant and Lynn Finlayson; brothers-in-law, Kelley Gibson and Gary Begor;  niece, Joanna Pelkey;  and nephew, Patrick Drown.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Sandy will be laid to rest alongside her daughter at the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.
