Sarah E. Lawrence, 40, of Green Valley Road, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Santa Cruz, CA on October 30, 1975 the daughter of Gary Johonnett and Susan A. O'Connor.
Sarah graduated from Manchester High School West in New Hampshire, and later attended St. Lawrence University where she received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in sociology. She married Nathan Lawrence on October 12, 2002 in the Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University.
Sarah was a Social Worker with Child Protective Services/Foster Care Unit at the Clinton County Department of Social Services. She was also an active member of the Northern Adirondack Central School PTO and was a member of the school board. She had a passion for music, and loved to travel. Above all else, Sarah loved the time she spent with her family and has left many memories for her loved ones to cherish.
Those left behind to remember these precious memories include her husband, Nathan Lawrence and their daughers, Morgan Kendall Lawrence and MacKenzie Kathryn Lawrence, all of Ellenburg Depot; her father, Gary L. Johonnett and his wife Carol Smith of Holderness, NH; her mother, Susan A. Johonnett of Dunbarton, NH; one brother, James A. Johonnett of Dunbarton, NH; one sister, Mary A. Johonnett and her companion Steve Wilber of Dunbarton, NH; her father-in-law, Kendall Lawrence of Canton, NY; two nieces; and numerous friends. Sarah was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Norma Lawrence.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the United Methodist Church in Ellenburg Center. Burial will take place at a later date in Albany, VT.
Donations in Sarah's memory may be made to the Northern Adirondack PTO to establish a scholarship in Sarah's Memory.
