Obituary

CHAZY LAKE/JERICHO – Sidney Carl Trudeau "The Professor" was born on October 20, 1948 to Donald and Edna Trudeau.  He was reunited with his wife Terri on November 6, 2021.

In his younger years, it was his goal to irritate his sisters.  During his school years, Sidney was an exceptional student and athlete where he claims he was a "killer basketball player."  His love of sports continued throughout his life and he enjoyed watching his granddaughters play sports.  Sidney was an avid Bobcat supporter attending many games and always giving his advice to the athletes.

Following high school, he joined the Marines and served his country in Vietnam where he was a part of the NBC team and earned his Meritorious Service Medal.

After marrying the love of his life, Terri, after only five days, they shared almost 40 years together before she went to God.  Together, they took in many people over the years, helping many in need.

Sidney obtained four Bachelor's Degrees from Plattsburgh State in just 4 years.  His degrees included Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, and Environmental Science.  He also wrote the environmental impact statement study that made the Treadwell Bay Marina possible.  Sidney worked several construction jobs throughout the years, and during the most recent years, he was an accountant known as "The Professor."

He enjoyed being outdoors gardening, and going fishing and hunting.  Sidney was a master of dry jokes, and held a plethora of knowledge.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his daughter and favorite son-in-law, Serina and Leonard Charland of Jericho;  his granddaughters, Brittney (Travis) Wilson, of Tennessee, Monica-Lynn Charland (Devyn Sample) of Mooers, Sophia Charland (Trey Hernandez) of Jericho, and Kelsy Trudeau of Lyon Mountain;  great-grandchildren, Levi and Ainsley Wilson, Luxi, Brycen, and Kelton LaBare and Bella and Landon Trudeau;  sisters, Donna (Gilles) Hebert, Pamela (Dick) Boulerice, Maude Trudeau (Jerzy Pawlowski), and Monica Trudeau (Scott Pawlowski);  sister-in-law, Sharron (Mike) Harmon;  and brothers-in-law, John Robinson, Doug Robinson (Michele), Dean Hitchcock, Wes Hitchcock, Troy (Bonnie) Hitchcock.  Sidney also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including his special nephew Gilles Hebert, Jr. and his good friends, Art Layman and Dave Atkinson.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Donald and John Trudeau.
