MOOERS – Susie Rabideau, 76, of North Star Road, passed away November 27, 2024.

She was born May 8, 1948 the daughter of Arleigh and Joan (Finnell) Finlayson.

Susie worked for many years at Wyeth/Pfizer in Rouses Point as a Group Leader and retired in 2000.

Susie loved to visit with her family and friends who would stop by.  She was an amazing cook and gardener, and was quickly named "Susie Homemaker"

She also had a great love for her pets and adored her cats and precious dog Abby.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Leon Rabideau, who she married on November 21, 1987;  her son, Bradley J. Wright (Cristy Ashline);  daughter Haley A. Spoor (Dean);  step-sons, Christopher Rabideau, MD (Shauna) and Michael Rabideau, MD (Tonya);  grandchildren, Kristin Drown (Shannon), Brynn Ghostlaw (Shane), Ashton Wright DeCoste (Ryan) and Jared Rabideau;  great-grandchildren, Hayden Bartlemus, Ainsley Ghostlaw, and Addie Ghostlaw;  siblings, Shannon Gibson, Arlene Thibeau (Alan), Molly Begor, Kevin (Cathy) Finlayson, and Sheila Lashway;  sisters-in-law, Jenny Finlayson and Nathalie Finlayson;  brother-in-law, Mark Brassard;  and numerous nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind a special nephew Alan Genereux and dear friend, Dave Minkler.

Susie was predeceased by her parents;  grandson, Patrick Drown;  brothers, Bryant Finlayson, Lynn Finlayson, Dolan Finlayson, and Jack Finlayson;  sisters, Sandy LaBombard and Heather Brassard;  brothers-in-law, Kelley Gibson and Gary Begor;  sister-in-law, Charlotte Finlayson;  nieces, Hilary LaBombard and Joanna Pelkey;  nephew, Neal Finlayson;  and lifelong best friend, Susie Miller.

The family wishes to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped care for Susie, especially Hospice of the North Country for providing her the best care possible in her final days.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will take place in the spring in Sheldon Hill Cemetery in Ellenburg Depot.
