Obituary

MOOERS, NY/SUN CITY, AZ – We are heartbroken to say goodbye to our father, Terry G. Lamberton, known to many as Mr. Goodlookin' — and he fully owned it!!  He passed away on April 12, 2025 surrounded by his three children and so much love.  Terry was the life of the party, the smile in the room, and the guy who could make you laugh even on your worst day. He was fun to be around, always up for a good time, and never missed a chance to tease, crack a joke or share a story.

Above all, Terry's greatest love was for his family and friends. He made sure everyone felt like they were part of his circle, and he could light up a room just by being in it. Whether you were family by blood or by choice, he made sure you knew you were loved.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Jennifer Lamberton-Bechtol and her husband David;  Bradley Lamberton and his companion Joanna Krysiak, and Derrick Lamberton and his wife Nicole;  his grandchildren, who he was affectionally known as "Papa T", Elodie Lamberton, Natalie Lamberton, Adalyn Lamberton, Ava Lamberton, Emelia Dusty and Myra Dusty;  siblings, Faith Lamberton and her companion George Legnard, Howard Lamberton and his wife Doris, Gary Lamberton and his wife Donna, Larry Lamberton, and Ricky Lamberton;  brother-in-law, Todd Yando;  and numerous nieces and nephews.  He also had a soft spot for his very special and beloved four-legged sidekick, Jeter, who rarely left his side and shared in all the fun (and a few too many snacks).

Terry was born March 10, 1954, the son of Howard and Flora (LaValley) Lamberton. His parents predeceased him as well as his brother, Barry Lamberton; niece, Chrissy Lamberton; and brother-in-law, David Hannah.

He proudly retired from Pfizer after more than 30 years of service where he built not only a successful career but many lifelong friendships and his "Let's Go!" spirit will forever be remembered by those he worked alongside.

Terry loved hard, laughed louder, and lived for good times - especially when there was a game or race on. Whether he was cheering or yelling from the grandstands or at the TV, sharing hot takes, or throwing around stats like a pro, sports were his happy place. He rooted with passion for the Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees, Montreal Expos, and Chicago Blackhawks, and when NASCAR was on, you could bet he was dialed in, living life in the fast lane from the stands or his favorite chair.

But he didn't just watch the action — he lived it. Terry loved being active. He ran marathons, walked with purpose, crushed mini putt games, bowled with style, spent time walking the pool, and enjoyed boating on Lake Champlain. He was always on the move, always doing, always enjoying life.

And let's not forget, the man LOVED his sugar. Candy, cookies, cake, or ice cream — if it was sweet, it was his kind of food.  He'd savor these with a grin and absolutely no shame, because life's too short to not enjoy the goodies!

Our heartfelt thanks to all the family and friends who have surrounded us with love, kind words, and support over the past month. Your thoughtfulness has meant the world and reminded us just how loved our father truly was.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Doc's on the Water, 15 Mooney Bay Drive, Plattsburgh.  We will celebrate his life just how he would've wanted it, full of laughs, stories, and good company.  Terry will rest peacefully alongside his mother in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rouses Point.

He signed off every conversation with an energetic "See ya" — a small phrase that now echoes in our hearts. So with love, we say it once more: See ya, Dad, until we meet again.
