MERRILL – Thomas G. Marlow, 75, of Merrill passed away November 4, 2024 at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Malone on June 3, 1949, son of Francis "Tookie" Marlow and Eileen (Tacy) Marlow Bova.

He attended school in Ellenburg, graduating from Franklin Academy in 1967.

Tom was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from January of 1968 till January of 1971 when he was honorably discharged.

He made his career in the New York State Department of Corrections, retiring in 2004.

On June 1, 1974, Tom married Betty Griffin in St. Georges Church in Burke.

Tom was a member of St. Jude's parish in Brainardsville.  He was also an avid sportsman all of his life, and was a former member of the Whitetail Ridge Hunting Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty of Merrill;  his daughter, Karisa Dodds and her companion Mike Gutman of North Carolina;  his son, Todd Marlow and his companion Kaylee Thompson of Merrill;  grandchildren, Elise, McKenna, Maddox, and Emilie; brothers, Michael Marlow of Malone and David Marlow of Malone; and sister, Rita Marlow of Burke.

Tom was predeceased by his father in 1957, his mother in 2005, and his brother Bruce at birth.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
