ELLENBURG CENTER- Vittorio Polletta, 91, of State Route 11, passed away, April 24, 2019 at the CVPH Medical Center.  He was born in Italy on October 5, 1927, the son of Giuseppe and Michela (Paternostro) Polletta.

Vittorio married his first wife, the former Orselina DiMella in Toronto, Canada.  Orselina passed away on April 11, 2003.  He later met his current wife, the former Frances Rushford, and they married on February 7, 2011 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Watertown, CT.

Vittorio was a gifted stone mason and spent years working with all types of stone.  After moving to the North Country he purchased a large dairy farm in Ellenburg which he successfully operated for over 30 years.

Vittorio enjoyed being in nature, and loved to spend time hunting, fishing, gardening, and any other activities that would bring him into the wilderness.  He also enjoyed traveling and nights out dancing.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Rushford Polletta of Ellenburg Center;  three children, Joseph Polletta of Stamford, CT, Steven Polletta of Watertown, CT, and Lisa Polletta Hogan of Harwinton, CT;  and six grandchildren, Michael, Jackson, Steven, Nicholas, Lena, and Sophia.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Rabideau Funeral Home in Ellenburg.  Burial will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury, CT.
